How does it work?

You will play the game on an interactive web interface, in your own account. All the Urban WineAdventure® you have purchased will appear in this account and will remain active until you have completed the route. You also have the option to download this web interface to your phone's home screen, so you can easily access it at any time, just like the apps. We also provide help for this here <<click>>.

The Urban BorKaland® app (Walk&Quiz) is map and gps based, so for everything to work properly, your phone must be a smart device, you must have internet connection, and you must enable location tracking. If you <<click>> here, you will find help for this.

For each city or walk, we give you an 'Urban Base' where the route starts and often ends. Here we can also provide personal assistance with the Urban BorKaland®. 

You will always get your first drink and, for a deposit, your wine glass to use during the walk at the City Base.

The 'Wine Points' are the restaurants or wine shops where you will be guided to after the city sightseeing and related quiz questions to get your well-deserved glass of wine.

You will always receive instructions on where to go, what questions to answer and the knowledge material to answer the questions within the City WineKaland® app. 

Your route will be marked and defined by numbered blue 'map pins' on the map. Your progress will be indicated by the numbered sequences at the bottom of the screen, in the bottom menu bar. Always tap the next number in the bottom menu bar to find out where you need to go.

It's important to always follow the sequence numbers on the map, in order! If you miss a station, you cannot return to it! Pay attention to the order!

First steps:

After purchasing the Urban BorKaland®, you need to do the following (You can do the first 3 steps at any time, even at home, before your walk):

1. Registration: after successful purchase, i.e. payment, you will receive an email (10-15 minutes) giving you access to the application. Click on the link in the email to create your own account by entering your email address and password. It is important to note that the link will only work with the email address you used to make your purchase. At the end of the walkthrough, the correct answers and the knowledge you have read will be sent to this email address.
2. App: place the app on the main screen of your smart device (phone, tablet) (This step is optional! The walk works without it!)
3. Enable location: Enable location on your phone.
4. Go to 'Urban Base': Start the walk in the app and tap on sequence number 1 in the bottom menu bar.
5. In the app, tapping the next line number in the bottom menu bar will show you the next location on the map to walk to. You must walk in the order indicated by the numbers!  
6. Determining your own position.
7. Quizzes and City Stories: activate the quiz questions with the navigation button above the bottom menu bar. The knowledge required to answer the question is available by clicking on the link next to the question.
8. Navigation main button: located above the bottom menu bar. It is activated when you approach the next selected location within 5-10 m. By tapping this button, you activate the link to the location.

What else you need to know:

• Each person who takes part in the walk, buys an Urban BorKaland®. That way, everyone will get a wine glass and a wine tasting at each Wine Point. You can also play the game with more than one person with 1 purchased Urban BorKaland, but in this case you will only get wine for one person at the Wine Points, and the others can buy a drink for themselves based on the current price list of the place.
• A customer with one email address can only buy 1 program of a given Urban BorKaland. This is necessary because only one Urban Borkaland account can be activated per email address. In the case of multiple participants, each participant must activate their own account and the selected game in it with their own email address and on their own device. 
• Each purchased Urban BorKaland includes a wine tasting line for one person.
• If you want to have another glass of wine or anything else at the 'Wine Point', you can do so by paying on the spot according to the current price list of the venue.
• You can start drinking wine at any time after purchasing the game. You don't have to use it immediately. In fact, if you don't feel like or don't have the time, you don't even have to go all the way. You can always come back and pick up where you left off last time. Bear in mind that you cannot go backwards.
• Start whenever you want, the only thing you need to take into account are the opening hours of the Wine points. The Wine Points are given in advance in the description of each BorKaland® City.
• At the end of the walk, you will receive an email with the number of correct answers and the city knowledge you have read during the walk. We will even have a surprise for you!
